    Given the need for a coordinated solution to tackle this trans-border issue, this Webinar aims to bring together the UK and French business communities to discuss the main features shared between the EU ETS and UK ETS, and their regulatory implications of emission trading in both markets against the backdrop of the recent war in Ukraine and sanctions against Russia. The discussion focuses on the effectiveness of the new UK ETS in delivering emissions reductions, and the potential linkage to UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA).

    Questions to be addressed:

    • What are the main features shared between the EU ETS and UK ETS?

    • What are the implications of Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) on ETS in both UK and EU markets?
