Rules & Standards for the 21st Century
- Advocate the continued evolution of an inclusive, multi-stakeholder model for internet governance.
- Support an ambitious, inclusive outcome to WTO Ecommerce negotiations.
- Promote policy frameworks that facilitate data transfer and the continued development of the Internet based on efficiency, affordability and business need
- Promote the dissemination and use of the ICC Digital Trade Roadmap as a practical tool to modernise national laws, establish interoperable digital standards and industry adoption of digital systems and processes.
- Work to ensure global tech policy supports the development of a single open, interoperable Internet.
Digital Inclusion
- Work with the ICC community, Digital Trade Network, governments, NGOs and other stakeholders to accelerate efforts to bridge the digital divide and ensure a level playing field for nations and communities.
Trust & Security
- Work with UN General Assembly driven processes to build global support for the rule of law applying equally online and offline, creating the supportive frameworks for cybersecurity critical to industry.
- Promote internet policy coherence between UN, G20, International Telecommunications Union and World Trade Organization frameworks
- Work within ICC to support the development of practical tools to enable cybersecurity preparedness, especially for SMEs.
Artificial Intelligence
- Identify business frameworks on artificial intelligence with a focus on practical solutions and implementation.
Intellectual Property
- Adapt intellectual property protection systems to the digital world.
- Develop the 2020 edition of the ICC Intellectual Property Roadmap.
