    This session aims to convene business representatives, negotiators, regulators, and experts to discuss the role of trade in biodiversity conservation. It focuses on practical solutions to overcome the barriers to trade sustainably in line with post-2020 global biodiversity framework.


    Questions to be addressed:

    • What are the major challenge to incorporate biodiversity into the multi-lateral trade agenda?
    • How to mitigate the biodiversity loss linked to trade?
    • How to design trade policy instruments/framework that favours the protection of biodiversity in a sustainable way?
